Every finance document Lavanda can produce and how they relate.

## Core documents

  Credited.
  - **Credit note** — Voids or reduces a standard invoice. Flow: Issued, Applied.
- **Charge note** — Guest owes money (charge-note workspaces). Same flow as invoices. A workspace
  uses one or the other.
  - **Credit charge note** — Voids or reduces a charge note. Flow: Issued, Applied.
- **Receipt** — Payment received. Flow: Issued, Applied. May be Reversed, Partially refunded or
  Refunded.
  - **Refund note** — Money returned. Linked to receipt. May be Reversed by a refund reversal note
if the refund never reached the guest.
    - **Refund reversal note** — Cancels a refund note in full because the refund failed or was
recorded in error. Linked to the refund note it reverses. The money goes back on the receipt.
      Flow: Issued (final).
  - **Payment reversal note** — Payment voided or taken back, for example after a lost dispute.
    Linked to receipt.

## Invoice subtypes (standard invoice workspaces)

- **Standard** — Rent and fees.
- **Damages** — Post-checkout charges.
- **Corrective** — Fixes a previous issued invoice.

## How they connect

- Credit notes reduce invoices. Credit charge notes reduce charge notes.
- Receipts pay charge documents through allocations (often auto-allocated on issue).
- Refund notes and payment reversal notes relate to receipts.
- A refund reversal note relates to the refund note it cancels, and through it to the original
  receipt.
