## Overview

Property fees are configured per scope (building / unit type / unit) and identified by a shared `FeeName`
(e.g. _Cleaning Fee_, _Security Deposit_).
They are distinct from optional services (see the [Services tools](/mcp/tools/services/)), which represent
guest-selectable add-ons like pet fees or late check-out.

At booking time the fee amount resolves from the most specific scope downwards: the unit's fee, falling back to the unit
type's fee, falling back to the building's fee. `list_fees` returns the rows actually configured at the scope you query
— it does not flatten the inheritance chain.

Use `list_fee_names` to resolve a fee name string (e.g. `"Cleaning Fee"`) to its `feeNameId` for client-side filtering
of `list_fees` results.
